Everlane Twill Snap Backpack
6:48 PMSo I recently ordered the Everlane Twill Snap Backpack in Navy. Now I have been eyeing Everlane's products for a long time. It just so happened that my good ol' trusty Jansport backpack was wearing down, so I decided to invest in a new backpack for myself. In addition, I do admire Everlane as a company who claims to provide quality items without all the middleman costs. So I thought I'd share my thoughts with you :)
When I received it, it came in a giant cardboard-esque package. The backpack was folded in half and wrapped with a grey ribbon. As I unraveled it, I admired the quality that the backpack came it. For $65, it was definitely worth its price. The texture of the twill is really nice and sturdy. This is definitely not a flimsy backpack!
The leather snaps can be kind of a pain to unbuckle all the time, but perhaps over time it will come with ease. The drawstring is also nice and thick. There is also an inner compartment for your laptop! This backpack looked gorgeous from the get-go. However, I think some daily wear-and-tear will give it some unique character.
Everlane: 18" H x 13” L x 6” W / Jansport: 16.7" H x 13" L x 8.5" W
Please excuse my rugged Jansport Superbreak Backpack. It has been with me through some rough times during these years so it's not in the best condition.
Here's a picture with flash. As you can see, the Everlane backpack is in a beautiful navy color. Everything about Everlane backpack seemed so perfect... but it is rather long. Now mind you, I am your average 5'3 Asian gal (and I'd considered myself on the petite side). So this backpack look disproportionately big on me. The size is quite overwhelming for me and it is something that I cannot get over.
Verdict: As much as I love the backpack and its details, I unfortunately am going to return this beauty. It is definitely much too big for me. If Everlane came out with a shorter backpack, I would hop on it right away! I hope you find this post useful! Until next time!
