Winter Essentials

So for the body, I have been rubbing the Nivea Smooth Sensation body Lotion. I love Nivea for their moisturizing products. They are truly nourishing and they smell lovely. It is an all-around good body lotion. I also use the Trader Joe's Oatmeal and Honey Soap. It is dirt-cheap and works wonderfully. It comes in a pack of two (one of which is currently in my bathtub). It also has a hint of cinnamon scent which is lovely for the holiday seasons.
For a morning cleanser, I lather the Nivea Gentle Cleansing Cream. It has a slight fragrance, the generic Nivea scent that I enjoy so dearly. It is a good cleanser for the mornings where you just need something gentle to remove all the oils and eye gunk that your face produced overnight.
To nourish my face, I prep my skin with Neutrogena Hydra Boost Treatment Lotion Pre-Essence before any serums. It claims to boost your skin's ability to absorb and retain moisture as you layer essences/serums/moisturizers on. It is an extra step in your skin care routine, but I think it is great for maintaining the water content in your skin. I also use the Juju Aquamoist Moisture Lotion. My skin easily soaks up the water textured moisture lotion. Definitely cannot go wrong with this. I have featured this product in my skincare routine post, so go check that out!
Okay, cannot forget the eye area! Kiehl's Creamy Eve Treatment With Avocado has been doing the trick for the drier months. It is thick and moisturizing. To apply the eye cream, I warm up the product with my ring fingers and then dab away (gently!).
Another must for winter: moisturized lips. To keep my lips juicy and plump, I apply the Rosebud Perfume Co. - Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm when I get up and before I go to sleep. I got this as a gift from my friend (thank you Joyce!) and I have been using it religiously ever since. I have rarely encountered peeling or cracked lips. This inexpensive lip balm comes in a large tin with a vintage vibe, wonderful for all year long :)
Now that my lips are nice and moisturized, it's time to add some bold colors. Two lipsticks that I have been rocking are the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick: 107 and the Revlon Super Lusterous Creme Lipstick: 510 Berry Rich. The Rimmel lipstick in 107 is a beautiful vampy color. You can definitely rock this to holiday parties, dates, girl's night out (or night in), or anywhere! But be careful with the matte lipsticks if your lips aren't in the best condition as they will highlight all the dead skin. :( The Revlon lipstick is perfect for everyday wear. It is a darker "my lips but better" look. It definitely makes me feel more put-together when I have this on. Also, this creamy formula goes on so smoothly! I am definitely a drugstore lipstick gal.
Last but not least is bronzer. Let's be real, winter is the season for pale faces and red noses. But do not fret! Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer will give back some warmth to those pale cheeks of yours. Also, it smells like hot chocolate! How cool is that? I got this in a little set for $10. It comes with a handy brush which is great for traveling. Also, I like how the bronzer compact is magnetic! I am easily satisfied by the little things in life, arent' I?
Now, that's all folks. What are your winter essentials?!
