Beauty Haul
10:25 PMAnd once again... my money has been spent on beauty products. Truly, the cosmetic + beauty industry is the bane of my existence. But anyways, it does bring me joy to obtain these items. Materialism at its finest, isn't it? Haha. Anyways, lets get into the haul, shall we?
These products were bought in store at Marshalls and online at Sasa, Sephora, Shu Uemura and Birchbox.
I got this as a sample with my Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil. It is a decently-sized sample (0.4 oz). This is supposed to restore and supplant intense moisture to the face. Seems to be an all around good nourishing cream.
Juju Aloe Moisture Cream
This was an inexpensive moisturizer from the Juju Cosmetics line, so I thought I would give this a try. It is pretty thick and has a slight gel consistency. Although this came in a small jar, I was impressed about how little you need to apply over your entire face. A little bit definitely goes a long way. It does have a sticky feeling so I mostly used this at night.
HadaLabo Koi-Gokujyun White UV Gel SPF 50+ PA ++++
While I was shopping on Sasa, I saw that this was on sale. And let me tell you, I love Hada Labo as a brand. I loved the HadaLabo Gokujyun Moisturizing Cream (holy grail!), so I thought I would give this a go. This gel supposed to serve as emulsion + essence + moisturizer + makeup base + UV protection. I have started using this about a week ago, and it kind of smells/feels like Elmer's Glue. But I have found myself using this everyday so far after I put on my Juju Aquamoist lotion. It does brighten my face when I put this on. I kind of like it so far, but we shall see.
Shu Uemura Skin Purifer High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil Advanced Formula
This has been on my wishlist for quite some time and when Shu Uemura was doing a Black Friday sale, I hopped on it. There are many different types of Shu Uemura cleansing oils, but this one in particular is a revamped version of the classic. So far, I have been loving it :) Let me know if you want me to do an in-depth review on this!
HadaLabo ES Makeup Cleansing Liquid
I needed a new makeup remover because I only have 25% of my Kose cleansing oil left. Also this line of HadaLabo products were created for sensitive skin. Right now, I am struggling with redness and breakouts so I definitely need something that will not irritate the skin.
Batiste Dry Shampoo, in Original
Yes, as you can see, I got this at Marshalls for $5.99. I used to wash my hair everyday but I've heard it's not good for your hair. Thus, I have resorted to washing it every other day or every two days. But let's be honest, it does can get greasy at the roots so I resort to dry shampoo for help. So I started using the Psssst! Instant Dry Shampoo. But now that I have the Batiste, I do think the Batiste version does beat the Pssst! because it produces less build-up. Definitely a good affordable dry shampoo for all.
Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body
An oldie, but goodie (or so I remembered). My sister used to have the giant jar of the Borghese Fango Active Mud and I remember using it during my early teenage years. I saw this on sale and thought, why not give it a go again? That is how this mud mask found its way into my beauty supply at home. I do have high hopes for this product, so we shall see how well it holds to the standard.
Vitacreme B12 Regenerative Cream
I got this because the YouTube community in Hong Kong raves and raves about this product. It is an inexpensive cream that aims to penetrate + renew the skin, decrease wrinkles and lighten the skin. It is quite rich and good for the drier months. I am a little skeptical because all these seem too good to be true! But I will give it a try and see how my skin responds.
Metholatum ACNES Medicated UV Tinted Milk SPF 50 PA ++
I have been wanting a tinted sunscreen for those days where I want to even out my skintone but not have to go through the hassle of the whole makeup shabang. This UV Tinted Milk claims to prevent acne, regulate and control excess oil secretion and has vitamin C & E to keep skin soft. These multi-functional products are prefect for lazy days.
First Aid Beauty Star Duo
I got this from Sephora during their Black Friday $10 deals. It comes with First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream and the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser. These are both decently sized (2.0 oz per tube). I cannot wait to try this out. I have heard pretty good things about First Aid Beauty products, so let's see if the talk is true.
Benefit Gimme Brow
I have been using this nonstop since I got this at Sephora. It is a wonderful product for days when I don't have the time to fill in and set my eyebrows. This does it all! Of course, you do not get the defined eyebrow look, but it definitely helps to give your eyebrows a natural full look. One thing that it lacks is the gel power. It doesn't full keep all my hairs in its place. I might have to use a clear gel for that.
I am probably just panicking right now over nothing, but I have been noticing slight fine lines around my eye area. So I picked this up in hopes that it will prevent any lines from deepen even further. I have used the Sam Tin Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Masks before; they are inexpensive and pack so much moisture in one sheet mask.
Kracie Hadabisei Eye Zone Mask
This come in a resealable pack of eye masks (30 pairs!), quick for regular or even everyday use. The claims are to help increase the moisture around the eye area to prevent fine lines and wrinkles. It has retinol, royal jelly and hyaluronic acid to help maintain the hydration. I am looking forward to using this.
Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, in Nude
I have been wanting this for ages and now it is finally here! I got this at Birchbox where they have this exclusive set that comes with a Beautyblender for only $38--such a good deal! I have started using this and it has a mousse-like consistency. It is rather thick for me but it does go on like a dream. However, this shade is not yellow enough for my Asian skin so it leaves me looking rather peachy. I might find some drugstore yellow tone foundation to mix with this so it can mesh with my skin.
Beautyblender
Need I say more? I wanted to see whether the hype for a $20 sponge is legit. Seriously, that is some expensive sponge. I have been waiting for a while now so I thought I would give it a go now. It also comes with a solid for cleaning.
Orgins Task Maskers
Another Sephora Black Friday $10 deal. I have been wanting to test out Origins masks so this was a good trial set for me. It comes with Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask, Modern Friction Nature's Gentle Dermabrasion and Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, so this was a good opportunity. These were all 0.5 oz, great for traveling!
Alright, that wraps up my recent beauty haul. I know this may seem quite a lot, but I did purchase these things over the course of a few months. In addition, I have been saving up for the holiday season. I love the value sets and the sales that come during this time of the year!
Have you guys bought any beauty items recently?
